COSMETICS giant L'Oreal denies it lightened Beyonce's skin tone in an ad for a hair dye. "We highly value our relationship with Ms Knowles. It is categorically untrue that L'Oreal Paris altered Ms Knowles' features or skin tone," the Paris-based company said in a statement. The ad is in the September issues of Elle, Allure and Essence on US magazine stands. A representative for Beyonce said the singer would have no comment beyond L'Oreal's statement.
MORGAN Freeman and his wife of 24 years, Myrna Colley-Lee, are getting a divorce, Freeman's lawyer, Bill Luckett, told the Memphis Commercial-Appeal newspaper. The 71-year-old actor is recovering in a Memphis hospital after a car crash in neighbouring Mississippi last weekend left him with a broken arm, broken elbow and shoulder damage. Freeman was driving, and his co-passenger Demaris Meyer, 48, was also injured. The New York Post reported that Meyer was a friend of Colley-Lee, and news of the divorce increased speculation that she was also romantically involved with Freeman. AT 60, Aerosmith frontman and wild man Steven Tyler is ready to spill. Tyler, known for heavy hits such as Walk This Way and Dream On, is working on a memoir to be published in 2009 by Ecco, an imprint of HarperCollins. The book is not yet titled. "I have so many outrageous stories, too many, and I'm gonna tell 'em all," Tyler said. "All the unexpurgated, brain-jangling tales of debauchery, sex and drugs, transcendence and chemical dependence you will ever want to hear . . . this is the unbridled truth . . . straight from the horse's lips."
